The BC bond: some recent developments

The facile deprotonation of fluoroaryl-substituted alkylboranes or alkylboron cations readily leads to anionic boratalkenes or neutral boraalkenes, respectively. These BC double bond systems exhibit an increasing variety of chemical reactivities.
