Study on the Mechanism of Biofilter Degrading Toluene-containing Wastegas

The biofilter packed with ceramic pellets was utilized to degrade toluene-containing wastegas.The analysis of the experimental results shows that using biofilm to degrade volatile organic compound (VOC S) such as toluene is efficient. The analysis indicated that the toluene removal process in biofilter was a biochemical adsorption controlled by gaseous film.
