45‐1: A Novel 88‐inch 8K OLED Display for Premium Large‐Size TVs

In this paper, we present the novel 88‐inch 8K OLED display for premium large size TVs. New key technologies are applied to 8K OLED display, including a coplanar type IGZO TFT backplane, simple pixel structure with white OLED, current compensation method, large area high speed GIP, pixel charging rate improvement, and driving system with two chip timing controllers. Those technologies enable high image quality characteristic and high reliability of OLED panel. Using the developed 8K OLED displays, we have successfully launched 88‐, and 77‐inch 8K OLED TVs.
