In order to optimize the isothermal quenching and tempering process,and improve the quality of the spring steel,taking the spring steel as the research object,the effects of quenching temperature and tempering temperature on microstructure and properties of the steel were analyzed.The results indicate that at different isothermal quenching temperatures,with tempering temperature increasing,the strength of the spring steel will fall down.910 ℃ × 30 min heating,310 ℃× 30 min austenitizing isothermal quenching get bainite,residual austenite,no soluble carbide and a small amount of martensite then tempering at 420 ℃for 60 min water cooling,the integrated microstructure performance is relatively better.
