Magnesium stents are gained increasing attention as an ideal stent of future interventional therapy. Magnesium alloy has an advantage of biodegradable material and good biocompatibility, but the elastic modulus and tensile strength is relatively low. So the stent structure should be redesigned to obtain good performance. The parametrization method and finite element analysis are used to study the effect of structure on the performance of stent. The results show that the radial strength is most sensitive to the stent geometric dimensions.
