REVISION OF THE SPINOTHECINAE (COLLEMBOLA: SMINTHURIDAE) INCLUDING A NEW AUSTRALIAN GENUS

Abstract Adelphoderia regina gen. et sp. n. (Spinothecinae) from Nothofagus forests in Victoria and Tasmania is described and figured. The subfamily is new to Australia and additional descriptive notes are given for the other 3 species in the subfamily: Spinotheca magnasetacea (Salmon) from New Zealand, and S. patagonica Delamare Deboutteville and S. cyanea Najt from South America. These are also found in Nothofagus forests.
