The application of DFC in the design of automotive product in China

This paper describes the conception of design for cost and the actuality of Chinese automotive industry.Through analyzing automotive life cycle,it points out the necessity of employing design for cost in manufacture of Chinese automotive corporation.Introducing some methods of calculation in automotive design step,it puts forward the frame system of automotive cost estimation based on CAD/CAPP model.This will meet the demand of the market and improve the competitiveness of Chinese automotive enterprise.
