Synthesis of Dimethyldodecylammonioethylphosphonic Acid Betaine

It is reported that the new compound β dimethylododecylanmmonioethylphosphonic acid betaine C 12 H 25 N\++(CH\-3)\-2-CH\-2CH\-2PO\-3H\+- was synthesized by reaction of dimethyldodecylamine with 2 bromoethtyl phosphonic acid which was prepared with one pot reaction procedure, and the structure of the tittle compound was characterized by means of IR,\+1HNMR, MS and elemental analysis. The synthetic routes and procedure were also discussed.
