Cloud-based building information modelling (Cloud-BIM) is an emerging research area for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry, however, remains a lack of quantitative analysis and in-depth evaluation of the literature. This paper uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and Bibliometric-qualitative Analysis (BQA) methods to deliver a comprehensive review. The PRISMA framework is applied to select and screen 366 articles. Following that, descriptive analysis and scientometric statistics are conducted using bibliometric software. A number of contributing analyses related to development trends are drawn and addressed. And the influencing factors are summarised by the extended Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. This research provides an innovative basis for future practice and promotes interdisciplinary exchange. • A systematic literature review of 366 papers was selected, screened and conducted. • Bridging the gap in the research quantitative analysis of Cloud-based Building Information Modelling (Cloud-BIM). • Development trends, features and stages of Cloud-BIM were investigated and summarised. • Influencing factors of Cloud-BIM were identified with an extended Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. • Providing an innovative basis for future practice and promoting interdisciplinary exchange.
