A novel composite functional carbon membrane for gas separation is designed and prepared by incorporating TS-1 nanoparticles into the thermosetting resins PMDA-ODA.The effects of the content of the TS-1 and pyrolysis temperatures on the permeability and selectivity performance of the functional carbon membranes are studied. The synthesized membranes are also characterized with TG,FT-IR,TEM and XRD.The results show that the addition of the TS-1 nanoparticles influences the performance of the membranes a lot, especially to the absorbable gas CO2,whose permeability is increased most. The permeabilities of membranes doping with mass fraction 20% TS-1 and carbonized at 600 ℃ for pure gas CO2,H2,O2,N2,CH4 are 9087,8111,2017,426 and 357 Barrer, respectively. When the membranes are carbonized in temperature above 700℃,the permeabilities of the membranes for all the gases exhibite a drastic drop, while the selectivities are much improved.
