Polymer grinding aids(GAs)were synthesized from maleic anhydride(MA),polyethylene glycol(PEG)and acroleic acid(AA)under different process conditions. The effect of side-chain length on the properties of polymer grinding aids was studied by adding different molecular weight of PEG.The results showed the properties of polymer grinding aids were preferably conducted at a PEG molecular weight of 400.As compared with the control sample, the specific surface area increased by 32.87%,the flexural strength increased by 17.86% at 3d and 22.73% at 28d,and the comprehensive strength increased by 48.93% at 3d and 28.32% at 28d for samples with polymer GAs obtained under the optimum condition.
