Fault diagnosis and prediction system of locomotive bearing

A locomotive bearing fault diagnosis system is developed, diagnosis and warning at early stage is done to the running gear bearings via monitor of vibration and temperature signals. Several characteristic parameters are tracked from various angles to quantify the bearing faults as time goes by so as to forecast the bearing lifetime. The fault warning theory is introduced with grey prediction model. Trial operation shows the system is advanced and reliable, meeting the requirement for locomotive bearing fault diagnosis.
