A Study on Iron and Steel Room Temperature Oxidizing and Coloring Technology

Formula for iron and steel room temperature oxidizing and coloring was studied, and factors affecting the process were examined. CuSO 4, Na 2S 2O 3, NiCl 2, Na 2SO 3 as the main components in the formula were determined. The best effect of oxidizing and coloring treatment can be obtained with the formula established. The possible mechanism of film formation is also discussed. The experimental resutls show that the performance of coloring film obtained with this technology is excellent, and the color of the oxidizing film can be adjusted exactly through changing the key components in the formula. The technology is simple to treat with and less pollution to the environment.
