Flexible and Durable 3d Porous Superhydrophobic Foam for Versatile Emulsion Separation in Multiple Environments

As an adsorbent material with shape recoverability and excellent adsorption capacity, melamine sponge has attracted much attention in recent years. In order to give the sponge a warning sign that it can perform oil-in-water emulsions in a variety of environments, it is necessary to prepare the sponge as a durable superhydrophobic material. In this paper, Ppy-PDA was first obtained on a sponge by a simple in-situ polymerization reaction, and then SiO2 nanoparticles were attached to the surface through polydimethylsiloxane, and superhydrophobicization was achieved to prepare a durable superhydrophobic foam. The prepared foam has excellent adsorption capacity for oils and organic solvents. Each gram of sponge can not only absorb 19-39 grams of organic solvent, but also absorb the oil in the oil-in-water emulsion. After liquid separation, the COD value of the emulsion can be reduced to 230 mg/L. More importantly, the performance remains good in the cycle test, and due to the construction of a durable superhydrophobic foam, it can maintain its relatively good performance in the environment of artificial seawater, acid and alkali, and can achieve a relatively stable emulsion Separation.
