Objective To study the differences of sleep quality, anxiety and depression between primary and secondary insomnia patients, and the correlation between sleep quality and anxiety and depression in insomnia patietns.Method Randomly selecting the insomnia patients(n=173) for treatment at neurology out-patient department of our hospital, divided into primary insomnia group(n=119) and secondary insomnia group(n=54).Adopting AIS,HAD,HAMA,HAMD to evaluate sleep quality, anxiety and depression of the insomnia patients, and then analysising the data through statistical methods. Results ①AIS scores of all the cases are more than 6 points.Compared with the primary insomnia group, the secondary insomnia group′s scores are higher in the AIS total score and factor scores(for the exception of the overall evaluation of sleep quality),but there is no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).②The secondary insomnia group′s score is higher than the primary insomnia group in the anxiety and depression(HAMA,HAMD),but this difference has not reach statistical significance(P0.05).③The insomnia patients of the two groups have varying degrees of anxiety and depression, and the incidence of anxiety and the coexistence of anxiety and depression in the secondary insomnia group are higher than the primary insomnia group(P0.05).④The linear correlation analysis shows that there is a positively correlation between AIS scores with HAD,HAD-A,HAD-D,HAMA and HAMD scores in the insomnia patients,r value between 0 and 1(P0.01).Conclusion ①The sleep quality of the primary and secondary insomnia patients has no significant difference.②The severity of the anxiety and depression shows no significant difference in primary and secondary insomnia patients.③The incidence of anxiety and the coexistence of anxiety and depression in the secondary insomnia patients are higher than the primary insomnia patients.④The degree of insomnia and anxiety and depression are positively correlated.Poorer sleep quality in patients with insomnia, the more serious the anxiety and depression.
