Application of carbon nanotubes as anode materials for Li-ion battery

The electrochemical performance of the anode materials as carbon nanotubes(CNTS) used as additive for Li-ion battery anode was evaluated.The results showed that the initial charge and discharge capacities of anode with 2%(wt%) CNTs increased by 29.4 mAh/g and 45.1 mAh/g,respectively.The capacities did not decrease after 20 cycles,due to the large specific surface area and high lithium intercalation capacity of CNTs.
