The application of PZT in mechanical damage Detection

Based on the analysis of the piezoelectric equation and coupling impedance formula of the piezoceramic Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT), the approach of mechanical damage detection by detecting charge and impedance of PZT is proved feasible. And the active and passive approaches of mechanical damage detection is introduced. The examples of the two approaches in practical application are separately particularized in the last.
